Congratulations to all who participated in the 2009 Great Australian Run.
In a surprise result, three-time Austrian Olympian Guenther Weidlinger and emerging Australian distance runner Nikki Chapple have taken out the 2009 Great Australian Run amongst 3000 pavement pounders.

Collingwood fans secure back-to-back victories
For the second year running, Collingwood supporters are the 'Fittest Footy Fans' in the league!
The black and white faithful talked with their legs, dominating the 2009 Great Australian Run to build on their narrow victory from last year.
All entrants were able to select their favourite AFL team when they entered, and then race for their team in the challenge. The first 30 male and female finishers for each club had their times averaged to determine the team with the fittest fans. Prizes, including a $75 gift voucher from adidas, were awarded to these 60 runners from the winning team.
The final placings were:
1st Collingwood FC - 1:08:12
2nd Essendon FC - 1:09:36
3rd Carlton FC - 1:11:07
4th Hawthorn Football Club - 1:12:37
5th Geelong Football Club - 1:14:08
Congratulations Dr Tickle, Dr Doctor & Dr Noodles
Dr Tickle, Dr Doctor & Dr Noodles from the Clown Doctors all took part in the run and finished in great time.
All three doctors hope to raise $5000 each for the Clown Doctors. There is still time to donate by following this link
